In this class, students will learn basic English. Emphasis is on basic conversation and literacy skills. Students will practice using English for everyday purposes such as greetings, talking about family, shopping, talking with landlords, employers, doctors, and teachers. Students also learn basic reading skills for job announcements, supermarket advertisements, and short stories. Students also learn basic writing for everyday purposes. Class is intended for beginning to high beginning learners of English.

- Tuesdays and Thursdays
- 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- Offered in-person (recommended) or online/synchronously
- Online students will need to turn on cameras and speakers to participate in class activities with the in-person classmates.
