Minnesota Job Skills Partnership (MJSP) grants
Focuses on providing training for both new and existing employees of participating businesses throughout the state.
Minnesota participating businesses must partner with an accredited Minnesota educational institution. Grants of up to $400,000 are awarded to the educational institution to develop and deliver custom training specific to business needs. A cash or in-kind contribution from the participating business must match the grant funds on at least a one-to-one basis.
SCSU writes grant applications in partnership with, and, on behalf of, your business.
Awarded more than $3.3 million in training funds over the last 11 years.

Our efforts helped nearly 4,000 employees expand their skills.

Additional Workforce Funding Opportunities
Incumbent Worker Training Program
The program is intended to offset a portion, via reimbursement, of the businesses’ costs to train and upgrade the skills of its incumbent workers. Additionally, the program will provide reimbursement to eligible businesses for specific training costs accrued during the course of training.

Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP)
This program provides grants to new or expanding businesses located in Greater Minnesota for the purposes of training workers as quickly and efficiently as possible. Grants of up to $200,000 are awarded to eligible businesses to provide training for new jobs. Employers submit and an application to request funding.
