Navigating Difficult Conversations

The skill to manage challenging conversations effectively is crucial in both personal and professional spheres. In this session, participants will explore ideas and strategies to understand the factors that could be behind difficult behaviors, proven interventions to address these behaviors, and how to plan and conduct difficult conversations if needed.

In this 4.5 hours workshop you will explore:

  • Understanding the potential causes of difficult/resistant people and behaviors
  • Understanding the skills and tolls needed to work successfully with difficult/resistant people
  • Learning tools to intervene to reduce the difficulties
  • Planning and practicing conducting difficult conversations
  • Using follow-up strategies to ensure the interventions stay in place and the difficult/resistant staff stay on track
  • Learning and applying tools to help keep yourself on track while working with difficult/resistant staff
