Standardized tests help determine your admission status and are often used in awarding merit-based scholarships, grants, fellowships, and assistantships.

Cancellation Information

Cancellation Fee: Online or in Person Sessions

Requests for cancellations must be in writing and emailed to register@scsutraining.com
Refunds will be issued minus a $25 cancellation fee if request to cancel is received one week prior to the start of the class.
Refunds will not be issued if request to cancel is received after one week prior to the start of the class.

Online Support: Our online support package for both in-person and live-online ACT classes includes access to recordings of all class modules, an instructor-monitored question forum, and online office hours. Access to the student portal which contains these online resources continues through 120 days after your last scheduled day of class, so you will still have support for your independent practice after class is over.

Convenient Schedule Options: Classroom Test Prep programs are conveniently held on the campus of St. C loud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Live-Online classes provide alternative schedules and the added benefit of taking the class from anywhere in the world.

Value: The course fee includes all course materials*, access to online resources, and instruction from a trained professional who cares about your success.

*Course materials will be shipped to the address provided when you register for our live-online course. We recommend registering at least five (5) business days in advance of the course start date to ensure timely delivery of your course materials package. Are you registering within the five (5) business days of the course start or after the course start? Not a problem. Students will be emailed digital workbook handouts for the class sessions to facilitate participation until their course materials are delivered.

ACT Blitz

Let St. Cloud State University’s ACT test-preparation program help you prepare for this important test!ACT Blitz classes, offered during the academic year, include 16 hours of instruction and are strategically scheduled for the weeks leading up to the most popular ACT test dates. Classes are scheduled to allow time to practice new skills between sessions. Our multi-week course format allows abundant opportunities for learning and for interacting with our expert instructors. The ACT Blitz classes are offered on campus and live-online.

ACT Summer Institute

St. Cloud State University Test Prep’s ACT Summer Institutes offer the same curriculum, materials, and online resources as our ACT Blitz classes, but they are scheduled during the summer when many students have more time available for practice. The ACT Summer Institute classes are offered on campus and live-online. On-campus classes are scheduled in a condensed four-day format. Live-Online Summer Institute classes give you a variety of schedule options to fit your summer plans.

Online Format

ACT Prep classes are live-online. Our virtual classroom provides you with the opportunity to interact in real-time with our expert instructors and to re-watch the recordings of your class sessions at your convenience through 120 days after your last scheduled class session. To supplement the live experience students have access to online support resources as well.

Live-Online Office Hours

Weekly live-online office hours provide a convenient way for students to get individualized help with specific questions or concerns. The live-online office hours are free-form meetings open to all participants from both the on-campus and live-online ACT Prep Classes. The sessions are drop-in and student-directed, so there will not be a planned presentation for each session. Instead, our instructors will answer questions and work through problems in the order that they are received.

Live-online ACT Prep Classes and Live-Online Office Hours require Adobe Connect, a free application. All you need to participate in live-online classes or office hours are a high-speed internet connection and speakers or headphones.

ACT Administration Updates

ACT will offer new testing options to students nationally.

Test Format: Students will have the choice to take the exam in either paper or online format. The online testing option will also allow expedited delivery of results for the multiple-choice exam sections - as soon as two business days after the exam date. Results for the paper-format test and the optional writing section will still be delivered several weeks after testing. For more information, visit the Online Testing FAQ at act.org.

Superscores: ACT will now offer students a new score reporting option. When sending ACT scores to schools, students can choose to either send the scores from their most recent test, or they can elect to send a superscore, which will compile the highest scores received in each individual section of the test across test dates. Section Retesting: ACT will now allow students who have completed the ACT at least once to select individual sections of the test to take again. Previously, students wishing to improve their scores would need to take the entire exam again for a repeat attempt.
